From Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport to Candarli it is about 115 km, and on most days we are on the road for 1.5–2 hours. Leaving the airport, we first head for the city’s northern exit and continue through Menemen to Aliaga. A while after Aliaga we leave the main road, head down towards the coast and reach the small peninsula on which the town is built.
The first thing you notice on arrival is the old stone castle on the shore. Candarli’s small centre gathers around it, and the last minutes of the trip usually run along the seafront.
It is not a long drive, but if you are coming with a baby or an older relative you may want a short break. Mention it on your booking and we stop at a suitable place and tell you your arrival time with the stop included.
Where do people stay in Candarli?
Candarli is a small town that grew up around its castle by the sea; the ancient city of Pitane once stood on the same spot. Guesthouses and fish restaurants cluster around the castle and the seafront. If you are staying at a guesthouse in the centre, its location is usually all our driver needs.
Outside the centre, holiday estates and detached summer homes stretch along the coast, and many of the people who come to Candarli are families spending the summer in them. When you write to us with the estate name and where the gate is, we work out the right entrance in advance and drop you at the gate nearest your house rather than at the main entrance.

Candarli or Dikili?
These two names often swap places in addresses.
Candarli is a town in the Dikili district, so bookings sometimes just say “Dikili” when the address is actually in Candarli. Dikili town lies further north, further along the road, and has its own fare. Because Candarli is closer to Izmir, its fare is different from Dikili’s.

How much is a transfer from Izmir Airport to Candarli?
Our transfer fare from Izmir Airport to Candarli is €85 / ₺4.700 per vehicle, one way. The price stays fixed no matter how many of you are in the car: a couple and a family heading to its summer home with the children pay the same. A single Mercedes Vito takes up to seven people; for larger groups, write to us on WhatsApp and we plan an extra vehicle.
If you book the return as well, we add the two one-way fares together. We do not ask for money up front; you pay in cash at the end of the ride. The vehicle is yours alone, and child seats and waiting at the airport are free. If you share your flight number, we follow your landing time.
Getting back from Candarli to Izmir Airport
For the return, we pick you up outside your guesthouse or at the door of your holiday home. If you are staying near the castle, we agree on the guesthouse door as the meeting point; on an estate, we use the same gate as on arrival.
We set the pickup time with you based on your flight and your guesthouse checkout. The road back is the same as on the way out, through Aliaga and Menemen down to the terminal. You can book both directions in one go, and for the return your flight details and address are enough. If your flight time changes on the day, let us know and we reset the pickup time together.
